George Mason University 2019 Administrative Team

We are excited to introduce the 2019 George Mason University Indoor Drumline Admin team!

Will Vinson - Associate Director

Will Vinson is entering his second year on staff at George Mason University Indoor Drumline and first year as Associate Director. Will started his WGI career as the bass guitarist for the George Mason University Indoor Drumline in 2016 and 2017, aging out in 2017 as the Front Ensemble section leader. In 2018, Will returned to Mason Indoor in the role of Marketing and Social Media Assistant where his position extended into a variety of administrative tasks, including prop assembly and maintenance .

Outside of the marching arts, Will received a Bachelor's in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a minor in Arts Management from George Mason in 2017. While at GMU, Will also was an active member of the Green Machine Pep Band, receiving a scholarship for 7 of the 8 semesters in which he was active with the ensemble. Will currently works in client services in Rosslyn and lives in the City of Falls Church. In his free time he enjoys playing board games, reading, and spending time with his family's two Jack Russell Terriers.

Giulia DiSanto, NREMT, CSCS - Health and Wellness Coordinator​

Giulia DiSanto - Health and Wellness Coordinator

Giulia DiSanto began her career with the marching arts in high school, where she played the flute and mallet percussion, and furthered her career by playing in the front ensemble for the Reading Buccaneers in 2013, 2014, and 2015. From there, she went to the George Mason University Indoor Drumline in 2015, 2016, and 2017, where she played marimba all 3 years and aged out as a front ensemble section leader.

Outside of the marching arts, Giulia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, and earned both her National and Virginia Emergency Medical Technician certifications. She is also a certified USAW coach, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and designs strength and conditioning programs for various organizations.

Giulia currently works as a full-time EMT with Richmond Ambulance Authority, and spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons on tour with Carolina Crown as the Athletic Training Intern. She is looking forward to returning to her position as the Health and Wellness Coordinator this coming indoor season in order to continue to promote the health and wellness of the members of the GMU Indoor Drumline.

Ivan Fees - Graphic Designer

Ivan Fees - Graphic Designer

Ivan Fees is a graphic designer based out of Denver, CO, and currently serves as webmaster for the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association, one of the activity’s oldest percussion circuits. He has served on the RMPA Board of Directors in a few capacities and helped run the circuit and it’s contests and Championships.

He has been involved with WGI percussion since 2003 in a variety of roles with ensembles. As a performer he earned the 2004 PSCW bronze medal with Gateway High School of Aurora, CO, as well as a number of finalist placements as a cymbal player for the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble. He also spent a season marching cymbals for the University of Colorado Golden Buffalo Marching Band.

Ivan has served as an instructor, consultant, cymbal technician and designer for a variety of programs in the Rocky Mountain region, including BKPE from 2013-2016, and a few programs around the country. Most notably he spent 7 years with Dakota Ridge High School from Littleton, CO. Dakota Ridge earned 6 RMPA Championships in 5 straight seasons, the 2018 WGI Concert Class Fan Favorite Award, the 2017 WGI PSCO silver medal, and were the 2016 WGI PSCO World Champions.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s in Sports & Entertainment Management from the University of Colorado Denver. He is very passionate about the WGI activity, is a huge advocate for concert class ensembles, looks to enter into judge training, and very much enjoys networking with amazing instructors, designers, performers, judges and staff all across the country.
