2021 DAY OF PERCUSSION
On Sunday, July 25th, 2021 battery and front ensemble attendees will spend the day learning from and playing with the world class GMUID instructional staff in an interactive clinic-style environment. Hosted on GMU’s Fairfax Campus, in the Donald and Nancy deLaski Building, and the Johnson Center, the camp will run from 10:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. and is perfect for any experience level, ages 14 and up. Day of check-in/registration will open on site at 9:15 a.m. World class instruction will be provided for the following instruments: marching snare drum, quads, bass drums, marching cymbals, keyboard and synthesizer.

Date and Time: Sunday, July 25th, with check-in and day of registration starting at 9:15 a.m. The camp will start at approximately 10:00 a.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m. There will be an hour for lunch in the middle of the day.
Location: GMU’s Fairfax Campus, in the Donald and Nancy deLaski Building, and the Johnson Center (see the “Map” section below).
COVID-19 Policies: This camp will comply with all of Mason’s COVID-19 requirements. The full, detailed list of COVID-19 policies can be found here. Below is a brief overview:
Masks must be worn at all times by any non-vaccinated individuals
If you are fully vaccinated you are not required to wear your mask, as long as you are observing a minimum 6 foot social distancing area
Social Distancing is required at a 6 foot minimum
If you have a fever or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the camp
We are unable to accommodate spectators
Mason COVID Health Check: Any individual attending the camp must fill out the Mason COVID Health Check on the day of the camp, and receive a “green” status in order to participate. You will be required to show your “green” status before being allowed to enter the camp. The link to login and complete your Mason COVID Health Check is here. Forms: After registering, two forms will be emailed to you for completion, the Summer Camp Acknowledgement of Risk form and the Photo and Video Recording Release form. If your participant is a minor (anyone under the age of 18) please fill these forms out accordingly. If you are over the age of 18, please fill this form out for yourself, inserting your own name anywhere that asks for a “Legal Guardian’s” name. Once these forms have been completed, please either email them to email@example.com or bring a physical printout with you to the camp. These are required for participation.
Music: Music will be emailed to you after registration.
Parking: For those driving themselves, please park in Lot K.
